As part of the closing events of the exhibition "consider Listening" at Fahrbereitschaft-Haubrok Stiftung

An all-black drum kit, covered in asphalt, stands in the middle of the stage. A musician is
playing in the half-light. Throughout the concert, the audience members can make out
the contours of the action, and as their eyes become accustomed to the darkness, the relationship between what they see and what they hear changes. The drums, whose sounds are transformed by the asphalt material, are used here in a solo and virtuoso role through a sound continuum made up of beats, repetitive rhythms, impacts, noises and resonances. Both a performance and a visual object, Asphalte takes the audience through a visual and sound experience that involves the perception of light and movement, while elevating the musical action to the status of a sculptural object.
