DODO powerfully conveys the destruction of habitats and its impact on both nature and humanity without a single spoken word. This visual concert, suitable for audiences of all ages, tells the story of the dodo from its discovery by the Dutch to its final sighting. Acclaimed historical harpist Maximilian Ehrhardt performs music that was popular in the Netherlands between 1598 and 1681, featuring works by composers such as John Dowland, John Playford, and Jean-Baptiste Lully. The music seamlessly blends with the evocative animations of Dutch artist Floris Didden, bringing the dodo and its lost world - almost as if by magic - vividly to life on stage.
