»Fünfgezackt in die Hand« (Five Times Serrated in the Hand) is the title of a composition by Juliane Klein, written around the time of the publisher’s founding. In a sense, the piece represents the collaborative work between Klein, Ulrike Dornis, and Jens Hanke in a special way and marks its beginning: in 2001, Dornis developed an individual artist book from the score sketches of »Fünfgezackt in die Hand«, and Hanke dedicated a double-sided page to Klein’s composition in his »Textbuch« – the first two artistic works by Dornis and Hanke for Klein.
20 years after they first recorded »Fünfgezackt in die Hand« for Juliane Klein’s portrait-CD, Antje Thierbach and Dirk Rothbrust will bring this piece back for performance! In the conversation afterwards, Klein, Dornis, and Hanke will discuss the beginnings of their collaborative work, »Fünfgezackt in die Hand«, and the exhibition in Kunstpunkt. Dornis and Hanke will present their work based on selected images.
