LAURA SIEGMUND & KARM
Based on a purely acoustic structure and beyond the usual sounds of their instruments, KARM creates music that manages to be both sparse and condensed at the same time. The German-Czech duo exists since 2020, has since played numerous concerts in Europe and Japan and released the albums Kram (2022) and Hako (2024) on Ma Records. On occasion of artspring, KARM will meet Berlin dancer Laura Siegmund for the first time.

Cora and Daniel Kartmann are niece and uncle of the second degree and will meet for the first time on an artistic level at artspring. Cora - trained and at home in contemporary dance in Berlin - and Daniel from Stuttgart - a regular guest percussionist and versatile sound artist coming to Berlin for many years - have common roots in Transylvania and a passion for interdisciplinary work. Improvisation, repetition, expression and movement are the driving forces behind this first musical-dance encounter.
