The ensemble for new music theatre DieOrdnungDerDinge develops with LasLesLies! a musical theatre for children that is musically dedicated to reading and invites you to join in.
Books of sound, light and magic
At five audio-visual stations, performers Cathrin Romeis, Vera Kardos and Iñigo Giner Miranda lead their young audience to books that are full of sound, consist of landscapes and tell fantastic stories. Together with the children, they decipher hieroglyphics, follow the creation of secret characters and find a delicious letter in the fog – and word salad that still needs to be sorted.
A ticket to fantastic worlds
To this end, DieOrdnungDerDinge is developing a playful experimental laboratory that brings oversized books to life. With contemporary music and humorous, almost always true stories, the interactive music theatre piece revolves for an hour around the joy of reading, the history of the origin of the written word and the fascinating worlds hidden between two book covers.
The Order of Things always starts from an expanded concept of music and composes visual and acoustic aspects in equal measure. The boundary between musical and scenic form is fluid. The ensemble developed new digital formats that made contemporary music more accessible to a wider audience. The three performers work for adult audiences just as often and with pleasure as for children and always find new ways to link their themes with contemporary music.
