How can the interests of the independent contemporary music scene—from ensembles and venues to associations and organizations—be effectively represented in politics and administration? This workshop offers a practical introduction to the fundamentals of political advocacy.
Part 1: Navigating the Political System
Who are the key contacts at the federal, state, and local levels? How do you identify the right people in parliaments and administrations, and how do you approach them effectively?
Part 2: Successful Communication
What arguments are convincing? Which messages resonate? And what should you pay special attention to when communicating with political decision-makers?
