Saxophone + double bass + harp: what more could you want? The Zafraan Ensemble invites you to get to know these three instruments (and their respective musicians) very closely and personally. In two pieces of music by Mauricio Kagel and Oscar Bianchi, a wide variety of personalities emerge: laughing, arguing, dancing and discussing, they come into contact with us and with each other. Have you always wanted to know how to pluck a saxophone, blow a double bass or bow a harp – or if that's even possible? Then you're in good hands here!
Since five years, Daniella Strasfogel has been opening experimental music and dance premieres of the independent scene to a family audience. Shortly after the premiere for adults, a moderated and slightly shortened performance will be offered in the afternoon, which is explicitly aimed at young visitors. Experience shows that many adults also benefit from the concept of Schrumpf! To gain access to artistic research – and to be able to connect more easily with musical and dance experiments.
To this end, the initiator cooperates with various ensembles and individual artists and develops a shortened and moderated version of the upcoming premiere together with them. The artistic works that are actually created for adults as music theatre, dance, spatial installations or new music are designed and moderated interactively – but their artistic and content-related core is not touched or even simplified. In this way, children, parents and all other curious people are enabled to immerse themselves in the various aesthetic worlds of art.
