The Wool Piano

The Wool Piano is more than a prepared keyboard—it is a sound installation, a performance environment, and a newly conceived instrument. Elo Masing expands the performative space of the instrument beyond the body and the keyboard, extending it into the environment through textile and spatial interventions. The result is a transformation of musical performance into a fully embodied choreographic experience.
The work reframes performance as a multi-sensory interaction between performer, instrument, and space. The Wool Piano becomes an expanded instrument that dissolves the boundaries between sound, movement, and installation.
Masing will be joined in performance by string players from Berlin’s experimental music scene, further blurring the lines between ensemble performance, spatial composition, and collaborative choreography.
