What was the impulse for a composition? How does this very special sound that I have just heard for the first time come about? What impressions does a concert leave me with and how do the musicians react to it?

Music can spark curiosity and leave us with questions. After the concert is a wonderful time to discuss what we've heard. During the Month of Contemporary Music, the ‘Three questions to ...’ series of talks by field notes invites artists to give background information on the music they share. The series kicks off with three questions to the artists and the audience is cordially invited to join in the conversation with their own questions and thoughts.
