Month of Contemporary Music

In 2025, the Month of Contemporary Music will once again present the unparalleled richness of Berlin's contemporary music scene. The umbrella festival invites you to discover current works by Berlin ensembles, artists and composers in concerts, performances, and sound installations.

The 2025 edition of the Month of Contemporary Music opens with a concert by the AGGREGATE Festival on 13 September at 8pm at the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church.

The Month of Contemporary Music presents the diversity of Berlin's contemporary music scene. Current works can be discovered in concerts, performances and sound installations - both in established concert halls and in independent venues.

Since the 1930s, Kissas have been serving listening sessions with selected records on high-quality audio systems in intimate cafés in Japan for the price of a coffee or whisky.

Since 2019, the program »The Rest Is Music« has been featuring music from the 20th and 21st centuries. On Tuesdays during Contemporary Music Month, host Nico Daleman invites artists from the festival to the studio.
