AGGRESSIVE LANGUAGE

This event is a collaboration of Ukrainian team of organizers BURRE, charity label I Shall Sing Until My Land Is Free and independent artists in Berlin. AGGRESSIVE LANGUAGE is a conceptual work existing on crossfade between non-entertaining audio-visual event and alternative clubnight, that is dedicated to resistance to imperialistic aggression, searching for a common uniting message of Ukrainian, Palestinian and Syrian communities in Berlin.

The event will contain 3 main mediums: full-night line-up of experimental musicians, performative panel discussion and visual works. AGGRESSIVE LANGUAGE groups up experimental acts of international artists, consolidated by solidarity and common search and includes Palestinian, Syrian and Ukrainian representers.

In times of fragility the one who has experienced violence must forever stay attentive and empathic towards other violence happening. We believe that groups in risk are the one building a new form of cultural activism in Berlin, so we speak.

Let us introduce you to our line - current object of admiration of our team:)

CLUSTER LIZARD (LIVE) Interdisciplinary mixed media project by two Ukrainian artists Dmytro Fedorenko and Kateryna Zavoloka, now based in Berlin. Conceptual inspiration for Cluster Lizard was driven mainly by futuristic ideas of some prominent science fiction writers, experimental and radical sci-fi movies, abstract painters, futuristic techno-activists, and many other great artists, who offered their view of the future, far and near, social and esoteric, technical and spiritual. Cluster Lizard creates a dystopian soundtrack for a bizarre sci-fi movie that was not filmed yet. We are honoured to hold the presentation of the material of their new album at our event.

Be careful, it might be life changing!

PETER KIRN (LIVE) Music artist, technologist, and journalist with Lebanese-American heritage, creator of the daily site cdm.link. He has developed performances and interactive labs for CTM Festival, MUTEK, European Space Agency, and SONAR. Peter will present very personal experimental audio-visual set reflecting on his journey to West Banka, created as a part of the residency Sounds of Places with Wonder Cabinet, Bethlehem, Palestine.

QUSAY AWAD aka Qكيو (DJ set)

Syrian interdisciplinary artist and DJ based in Berlin. Qكيو presents works of ambient, noise, and bass music, creating a multi-layered sonic environment that build in for rhythmic structures drawn from contemporary dance music, ethnic electronics, and non-Western club music.

BROSHUDA (LIVE)

Performance of Broshuda is a powerful wall of immersive and emotional soundscapes with unexpected sketches which at the same time show and disguise their inner logic while transporting a diverse range of carefully distilled feelings and emotions. He masterfully combines elements of sound art, electroacoustic techniques, chopped spoken word dissections and field recorded material, as well as more rhythmically oriented and noise-heavy excursions creating liminal, yet extremely personal artificial space.

PHAROAH CHROMIUM (LIVE)

The solo project of Berlin artist Ghazi Barakat, German-Palestinian sound artist and composer Ghazi Barakat. He has worked in various music fields, from indie (as Boy from Brazil or with Stereo Total), to experimental electronics (as Pharaoh Chromium). Works of Pharoah Chromium combine krautrock and psychedelic aesthetics with deep political and cultural researches. A project of a mutoid post krautrock, psychedelism ambient, and anxious landscapes. For our event Pharoah Chromium will present an unreleased album, inspired by the Arab Cold War that took place in the sultanat of Oman. The base of the musical work is a record with songs sung by the children of this revolution.

FELDERMELDER (LIVE)

Feldermelder is a polymathic creative whose artistry spans composition, sound design, installation and code. He is also one of the co-founders of -OUS Records, a record label that has been at the forefront of electronic music in Switzerland. Besides that Feldermelder is an active member of Encor.studio, a collective of artists and designers who specialize in creating immersive audio-visual installations. Through his work, he explores the idea of secrecy and its impact on our lives, using music and sound to create a thought-provoking and immersive experience for his audience. We are honored to host the performance of Feldermelder, who will come to support our event from Switzerland.

DMYTRO FILATOV (LIVE)

Dmytro Filatov is a Ukrainian artist and promoter, exploring endless fields of noise, glitch, power electronics, finding his own language of talking about anxiety and building weird, asymmetric soundscapes, based on raw synth sounds, generative patterns, field recordings and swarms of delay feedback, spiced with heavy and complex grooves. I Shall Sing Until My Land Is Free is a Ukrainian experimental music label, that supports Ukrainian resistance against russia by donating profits to self-defense and humanitarian foundations. The pop-up corner of the label's releases, that include Merzbow, Muslimgauze, Monolog, Variàt and others will be present on our event.

The participants of performative panel talk and visual exhibition will be announced soon
