Talk. Call. Buzz. Sing, whisper, warble! Welcome to the world of vocal art. Together with the composer and performer Christian Kesten, we build sound worlds with voice and objects. Bring your own everyday object – paper bag, cutlery or water bottle, for example – and use it as a musical instrument. In the end we form a voice-object orchestra and conduct each other! No previous musical knowledge is required; everyone (including smaller or older siblings) is welcome.

Christian Kesten is a composer, vocalist and performer, a specialist in vocal experiments and the performativity of music. He works with an expanded concept of music that integrates elements from performance art, conceptual art and contemporary dance. Kesten realizes solo performances and writes pieces for international ensembles that are played at international festivals. He is a member of the experimental vocal and music performance ensemble Mauwerker.
