Konzerthaus Berlin

Konzerthaus Berlin

The Konzerthaus Berlin aims to reach all sections of the population with its diverse program. Around 650 events a year make the historic venue on Gendarmenmarkt one of the most important classical music venues in Germany. 300 of these are in-house events, the aim of which is to create unique emotional experiences for the large regular audience as well as for new guests. The Konzerthausorchester Berlin performs up to 100 concerts - under the direction of chief conductor Joana Mallwitz or international guests as well as with numerous top-class soloists from Germany and abroad, including one artist in residence per season. Chamber concert series and educational formats with unusual set-ups and sequences, festivals and the extensive children's and youth program »Junges Konzerthaus« complement the classical symphony concerts. In the digital space, the Konzerthaus Berlin offers, for example, the award-winning monthly KHO livestream »Spielzeit« on twitch as a low-threshold way to get to know classical music.
