Kontraklang

Kontraklang

Kontraklang was a monthly concert series for contemporary music in Berlin. It ran from 2015 to 2022, reflecting the diversity of Berlin’s contemporary music scene and at the same time providing a forum for current developments.

Based at different venues and never predictable, Kontraklang not only presented the artistic diversity of contemporary music in Berlin and worldwide, but also supported it and acted as an active motor for artistic production. The focus was on chamber music, sound art, composer-performer- and interdisciplinary practices, media-based artistic work and music theatre. With an eclectic and dynamic programme, representing different styles and generations and taking gender equality into account, Kontraklang was aimed at a broad, diverse audience.
