A musical dialog between visual music and immersive sound drawings. In their exhibition »BEBEN«, Harriet Groß and Stefan Roigk create an visual-acoustic confrontation that once again sharpens the senses for transitions.

Harriet Groß stages the resulting interferences as sirens spatial drawings and complex assemblages in the tradition of visual music, which do not resound in an acoustic interpretation by musicians, but as associations in the eye of the beholder.
Stefan Roigk, on the other hand, will devote himself to the phenomenon of the ephemeral in the field of sound. He is interested in sounds that emerge briefly and dimly from the permanent noise of the surrounding at the edge of our perception – and are hidden again unnoticed in the next moment.

As an additional dialog format, Anne Brannys and Edith Kollath's performance »CHOIR PRACTICE« focuses on the ancient choir – a figure of polyphony and social memory.
As a direct reaction to the present, they will performatively examine the materiality as well as the practices and mechanisms of this omniscient narrator in relation to demonstrations and marches.

Anne Brannys interweaves artistic, humanities and curatorial approaches to specific themes and spaces in her work. A particular thematic focus is 1. on difficult to represent and ambiguous materials and practices in art and 2. the investigation and design of orders of knowledge with special consideration of their inherent fluidity and (electronic/digital) volality. She brings these very different thematic complexes together in drawings, writings, installations and exhibition situations with the explicit aim of achieving contact on various levels between work and audience. She lives and works in Berlin.
